Birthday Cake Doughssant – West Town Bakery

What is a doughssant? Besides, being amazing, it’s Chicago’s answer to the Cronut by West Town Bakery. It has the layers of dough like a croissant, but it’s fried like a doughnut. It’s sweet and fluffy and has a lovely fluffy cream filling. Drizzled with vanilla icing and sprinkles it has the sweet cake flavor without the cake texture I dislike.

The icing drizzle a nice touch, but since there wasn’t much I don’t feel like I can justify a grade in this category.
