Raspberry Jelly – Bennison’s

Today we travel outside of the city of Chicago to Evanston! Bennison’s Bakery is one of those old school bakeries that has been around for quite some time. 1938 in fact! You can usually smell it when you step off the Purple Line at Davis. If you’re not smelling sweet, sugary dough, you’re probably smelling their amazing sourdough bread. Fun Fact: Their bread is used by Gayle’s Best Ever Grilled Cheese which is my favorite grilled cheese in the city. I could go on about how delicious it is (find her at the farmers markets this summer!), but that’s for another day (or when I start my Grilled Cheese blog someday).
